STAR Procurement, with our Partners, held our very successful ‘Meet the Buyer 2020’ event throughout World Procurement Week (2nd - 6th November). This was our first virtual event, and we focussed on helping our local businesses during lockdown.

We held over 25 sessions across the week, including top tips for tendering, Social Value, ethical procurement, and industry specific updates, with nearly 600 bookings being made.

Meet the Buyer 2020 gave businesses across the Greater Manchester economy the chance to find out about what opportunities exist for supplying to local government, education, housing, and health services across the boroughs of Rochdale, Stockport, Tameside, and Trafford.

Our Partners believe that it is more important than ever that our approach to procurement continues to support our local business communities and SME/VCSE sector. STAR has a ‘10 point plan’ to provide further assistance throughout the continuation of lockdown.
