It's been a great week for our Apprentice, Liam. He completed his Level 2 NVQ in Business Administration at the start of the week, supported by Trafford College. Mid-week, it was confirmed that he has been selected for a 'Celebrating Success' award at Trafford Council. He topped both of these yesterday by successfully securing a full time Trainee Procurement & Business Support Officer role with STAR Procurement. All are thoroughly deserved and we are proud of what he has achieved in the 12 months that he has worked for us.
It is also great to demonstrate that apprenticeships allow people to gain industry skills that lead to job opportunities for those who put in the effort. Liam is also bucking the trend that "nobody seeks a career in procurement, it is just something you fall into through other job roles". We are looking forward to supporting Liam as he takes his next steps on the procurement ladder and looks towards studying for his formal Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply qualifications.
Liam is an absolute pleasure to work with. Watch out... he is going to take the procurement world by storm!
